James F. Davidson

VP of Medical Affairs at OrthoArizona

Dr. Davidson is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a Subspecialty Certification in Sports Medicine. His special interests include disorders of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Davidson enjoys the innovation and technology that is central to orthopedics and relishes the opportunity to help patients get better and return to their sport, job, and lifestyle.

He is a spring training physician for the Chicago White Sox as well as the team orthopedist for numerous local schools. He received his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and he later completed his orthopedic residency and fellowship in sports medicine with the Maricopa Medical Center Department of Surgery in Phoenix.

Dr. Davidson is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America as well as the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has published scientific papers and spoken nationally on topics ranging from anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction to arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Dr. Davidson has been recognized by PHOENIX Magazine as a “Top Doc” in both Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
