Director Of Analytics at Ortho Rhode Island

Andrew Nelson has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. Andrew began their career as a Political Campaign Staff for the Brookfield Democrats in 2013 and then completed internships with the Connecticut Democrats and Feeding Children Everywhere in the same year. In 2014, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island, where they taught Introductions to American Government and International Politics. In 2016, they completed an Internship at the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Medicaid Office, where they performed research, data analysis and policy analysis for Home and Community-based Services. In 2017, they worked as a Case Manager II for Justice Assistance, where they monitored individuals placed on one-year filings for the Rhode Island District Court and determined, collected, and distributed restitution on behalf of victims of crime. From 2019 to 2021, they were an Economic and Policy Analyst for the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals, and is currently the Director of Analytics and Data Analyst at Ortho Rhode Island.

Andrew Nelson received their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Western Connecticut State University in 2014. Andrew then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Political Science and Government from the University of Rhode Island, which they completed in 2016.
