Fernando Herráiz Colás

Fernando Herráiz Colás has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Fernando currently holds the position of Director of Business Development at Oryx since December 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at IGNIS Energía as a Country Project Manager from February 2021 to December 2021, and as a Business Development professional from March 2020 to February 2021.

From September 2017 to March 2020, Fernando worked as a Project Engineer at Vita Energy Group. Before that, they gained experience as an Intern in the Technical Department at CORES, a government body, from September 2016 to September 2017. In this role, they were involved in the oversight of Spanish corporations trading in the Gas and Energy sector and conducted research on oil reserves.

Fernando also has experience in managing a company. Fernando was the Managing Director of Amicu University Students from September 2013 to July 2016. In this role, they led a team, managed day-to-day operations, controlled finances, and organized events and seminars for career guidance.

Additionally, Fernando completed internships at the European Open Business School in the Sales Department in July-August 2014, and at Bruzon & Miller Insurance Brokers in the Finance Department in July-August 2013. In these roles, they gained experience in sales and finance operations respectively.

Fernando Herráiz Colás completed their secondary education at Retamar Secondary School from 1999 to 2011, where they obtained a diploma in ESO y Bachillerato. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Energy Resources and Fuels at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which they successfully completed from 2012 to 2017. Concurrently, in 2015-2016, they also pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Energy Management and Systems Technology/Technician at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen. Furthermore, from 2016 to 2017, Fernando obtained a Higher Diploma in Financing and Investment from IEB.
