Svetlana Boriskina

Svetlana Boriskina is a Principal Research Scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Svetlana also serves as the MechE Communication Lab Manager. Svetlana's research focuses on nanophotonics, plasmonics, hydrodynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanics, examining the details of light-matter interaction on the nanoscale. Svetlana is also actively involved in various editorial and advisory roles within the field of optics, including serving as a Lead Editor at The Optical Society and a Topical Editor at IOP Journal of Optics. Boriskina has a strong academic background, holding a MS and PhD in Physics & Mathematics from V. Karazin Kharkov National University.
