Jacob Longton

Jacob Longton, PE, LEED AP serves as the Director of Structural Engineering at Osborn Engineering since September 2019, following a tenure as Structural Engineering Manager at SmithGroup from September 2015 to September 2019. Jacob's extensive experience in structural engineering includes roles at IBI Group, Ghafari Associates, and Albert Kahn Family of Companies, where Jacob held positions as a Structural Engineer. Prior to formal engineering roles, Jacob gained technical experience through positions at NTH Consultants, Ltd. and STS Consultants, performing on-site inspections and testing. Jacob's foundational experience in the construction industry began in carpentry with a private home builder. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan.
