In 2011, they were a BD Consultant at GTech Networks, LLC and VP, Business Development at SilTek, Inc. In 2017, they were VP, Business Development & Capture at DirectViz Solutions, LLC. In 2018, they were VP, Alliant II PMOs & DoD at VariQ. In 2019, they were VP, Strategic Growth & Business Development at Advanced Onion, Inc. In 2020, they were Chief Operating Officer and VP, Growth and Sales at OSC Edge. In 2022, they joined Codeup as a member of the Technical Advisory Board.

Romain Nowakowski attended Northern Virginia Community College from 1995 to 2001, where they studied Accounting and Business Management. Prior to that, they attended American Community Schools from 1986 to 1987.
