Laura Porter

Laura Porter is an experienced Fabric R&D Manager at Oscar de la Renta since October 2022, previously serving as Fabric R&D Coordinator. Prior experience includes a role as a Freelance Fabric Assistant at Gabriela Hearst and a tenure at Michael Kors from August 2019 to April 2022, where Laura held positions as a Consultant and Graphic & Concept Designer for Accessories. Responsibilities at Michael Kors involved collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop accessory concepts, creating various design elements, and managing the design process from prototypes to final products. Earlier career milestones include serving as a Print Designer at J.Crew and as an Associate Print & Color Designer for Tory Burch's Tory Sport line. Laura holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design and completed noncredit courses in Sustainable Material Sourcing at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2020.
