Fausto Palazzetti

Fausto Palazzetti is Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary at Oscar.

He is an experienced healthcare actuary with a strong background in both insurance and insurtech; and a proven expertise in actuarial core competencies, non-traditional actuarial work, general health plan management, consulting, and reinsurance. With over 20 years of healthcare experience spanning multiple functions, product lines, and geographies including globally, he has a demonstrated track record of leveraging cutting edge tools and technology to improve risk management, healthcare delivery, and product development. Fausto leads Oscar's actuarial department and has responsibility for rate setting, reserving, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.

Prior to joining Oscar, Fausto held roles at Aetna, Deloitte, and VNSNY. Fausto is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Fausto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Connecticut.
