Ken Brown is an experienced professional with a background in community development and geographic information systems (GIS). Currently serving as the Deputy Administrator for Community Development at Osceola County Government since April 2001, Ken has also held positions as Customer Care Director and GIS Manager within the same organization. Prior to this role, Ken worked as a GIS Analyst/Consultant at PlanGraphics, Inc. from May 1998 to April 2001, and as a System Manager/GIS Specialist at Air Survey Corporation from September 1989 to May 1998. Ken holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from East Tennessee State University, earned between 1984 and 1987.

Osceola County is a county rich in history and life. Created in 1887, Osceola County is a 1,506 square mile area that serves as the south/central boundary of the Central Florida greater metropolitan area. The city of Kissimmee, the county seat, is 18 miles due south of Orlando. Osceola's other incorporated city, St. Cloud, is 9 miles east of Kissimmee and approximately 45 miles west of the city of Melbourne on the Atlantic coast.
