George Heintz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in health data analytics and engineering. Currently serving as the Named Fellow at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and Director of the Health Data Analytics Initiative at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign since March 2017, George leads efforts to bridge collaborations between medical, clinical, and health industry researchers and AI and data scientists to tackle healthcare-related AI and machine learning challenges. In addition, since May 2021, George co-chairs the Jump ARCHES Data Subcommittee, focusing on the development of data and project governance for AI-driven business transformations. George's educational background includes a Master of Science in Public Health Informatics from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Dipl. Ing. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hochschule Kaiserslautern.
