Daniel Koldyk is currently the Director of Horizon Risk Surveillance at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI). Daniel held various executive and strategic policy roles across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia, including as Counsellor (Economics and Finance) at the Embassy of Canada to China. Daniel completed an MPhil in Politics and International Relations (2006) and a DPhil in Chinese Policymaking (2013) at the University of Oxford, where Daniel received full scholarships. With over a decade spent in mainland China as a diplomat and academic researcher, Daniel's research has focused on financial regulation, macroeconomics, and global trade, and has been published in multiple international journals.
