Kristin Downey

Kristin Downey is an accomplished communications and marketing professional with extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and strategic communications. Currently serving as the Manager of Stakeholder Affairs at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada, Kristin has previously held significant positions such as Marketing and Communications Manager at the Canadian Medical Association, where responsibilities included developing integrated marketing campaigns and leading communications for various initiatives. Prior to that, Kristin was a Strategic Communications Specialist at Canadian Blood Services, advising executive leadership and managing communications plans. Kristin's earlier tenure at the World University Service of Canada involved managing communications and fundraising strategies, while also providing expertise in public engagement and event planning. Kristin holds a PhD and a master's degree in English from McMaster University, complemented by further studies at the University of Sydney.
