Valerie Bennett

Valerie Bennett, P.Eng. is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Regulatory & Commercial Affairs at Oshawa Power since April 2024. Prior to this role, Bennett was the Chief of Strategic Partnerships at Natural Resources Canada, managing a team focused on relationships with governmental and international bodies related to energy policy. Previous positions include Manager of Application Policy & Conservation at the Ontario Energy Board and roles at Union Gas and ICF International, where Bennett led teams on energy efficiency projects and regulatory initiatives. Bennett holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University and a Master's degree in Renewable Energy from the University of Oldenburg.
