Sam Coleman

Assistant Superintendent at OSHKOSH AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT

Sam Coleman, Ph.D., currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for the Oshkosh Area School District, having previously held the position of Chief Academic Officer for Lynchburg City Schools. With a diverse background in educational leadership, Sam has also worked as Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Director for Equity at Shorewood School District. Other roles include Director of Student Services at Seton Catholic Schools and Chief of Staff for the City of Milwaukee, where strategic support was provided to the Common Council President. Sam's early career features experience as Dean of Students at Milwaukee Public Charter School and various educational roles, alongside advocacy work through Public Allies. Dr. Coleman holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complemented by multiple master's degrees and certifications in education and leadership.
