Nick Sonnentag

Nick Sonnentag is a seasoned professional in the field of materials engineering, currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Oshkosh Corporation since March 2019, focusing on the development of advanced materials for robust vehicles. In addition, Nick founded and leads Sunnyday Technologies as CEO from January 2023. Previously, Nick held the position of Senior Project Engineer - Materials at Pierce Manufacturing and accumulated extensive experience at ATI (Allegheny Technologies Incorporated) in various roles centered on forging, heat treatment process development, and Integrated Computational Materials Engineering. Additional experience includes a tenure as a Senior Research Assistant at DuPont and internships at OXFORD INSTRUMENTS SUPERCONDUCTIVITY LIMITED and Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Nick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which was completed in 2001.
