Philip Bronstein

Philip Bronstein currently serves as Senior Vice President of Global Food Safety and Quality Assurance at OSI Group, where responsibilities include developing global food safety strategies and leading innovative quality systems. Prior to this role, Philip held various leadership positions at USDA-FSIS from November 2010 to May 2023, including Assistant Administrator, where oversight extended to approximately 8,000 personnel and a $800 million budget, focusing on food safety regulations for meat and poultry. Additionally, Philip's expertise includes implementing new inspection programs and providing scientific leadership during a tenure as Director. Earlier experience includes roles at USDA-ARS and Cornell University, concentrating on molecular biology and bacterial pathogenesis, alongside a solid academic foundation with a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Washington.
