Christopher Thorpe has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2004 as a Solidworks Designer, CNC Programmer, and CNC Machinist at ALMAR Packaging. In 2007, they became the Owner of Goodspeed Engineering. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Mold Manufacturing and Resin Casting Specialist at CMA Mouldform. From 2010 to 2016, they worked as a CAD Designer/CAM/CNC LASER Engraver at Boxall & Edmiston. Most recently, they have been a Production Design Engineer at Osler Diagnostics since 2021.
Christopher Thorpe has a varied educational background. From 1998 to 2002, they attended Hilton College, where they studied Maths, Science, Biology, Art, English, and Afrikaans. From 2002 to 2004, they attended Varsity College, where they earned three diplomas in International Marketing Management, with a focus in Marketing/Marketing Management, General. Thorpe also holds five certifications, including SolidWorks PDM Training from CAD SOLIDSOLUTIONS (2022), An Introduction to the Design and Development of Medical Devices from Management Forum Ltd (2021), Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) Training Course from BSI (2021), Advanced Part Modelling from CAD SOLIDSOLUTIONS (2012), and Assembly Modelling from CAD SOLIDSOLUTIONS (2012).
