Capt. Roy P. Torgersen

Capt. Roy P. Torgersen is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in marine operations and management. Currently serving as Marine Superintendent at OSM Thome since May 2023, Capt. Torgersen previously held similar roles at OSM Maritime Group and founded Nido Robotics, where notable achievements include leading a team of over 20 members and delivering more than 200 underwater robots, generating over €2.5 million in revenue. Capt. Torgersen’s maritime career includes positions as Chief Officer at GC Rieber Shipping ASA and various roles with Statoil, Rem Offshore, and Eidesvik Offshore ASA, showcasing extensive expertise in dynamic positioning and maritime operations. Educational qualifications include ongoing studies in Maritime Management at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and previous studies in Engineering Physics at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, among other achievements in finance and maritime education.
