Michelle Makasiar

Michelle Makasiar is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as the Head of the Maritime Leaders Academy at OSM Thome since May 2023, following a similar role at OSM Maritime Group from September 2016 to May 2023. Prior to this, Michelle held positions including Learning and Competency Manager at OSM Maritime Group and Quality, R&D and Training Manager at Seacrest Maritime Management, Inc. from August 2009 to August 2016. Michelle’s career began at Magsaysay Maritime Corporation's Magsaysay Training Center as Compliance and Accreditation Manager from September 2001 to August 2009. Michelle holds a Master's degree in Shipping Management from the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (2012-2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from De La Salle University (1996-2001).
