Alicia Hicks has a diverse range of work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Alicia began their career as a GIS Researcher at FirstSearch Technology Corporation in November 2004 and worked there until December 2005. In January 2006, they worked as a GIS Technician at the same company for one year. Alicia then advanced to become the Image Processing/GIS Manager in January 2007, where they oversaw the Aerial Photography Department and managed a team of GIS professionals. Alicia remained in this role until January 2013.

Following their time at FirstSearch Technology Corporation, Alicia joined Next Step Living in September 2013 as a GIS Analyst. In this role, they extensively used ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, and Access to support a residential, rooftop solar targeting team. In 2016, Alicia worked remotely as a GIS Contractor for Level Solar on several GIS projects related to residential solar rating pilots and the creation of canvassing territories. This contract lasted for twenty weeks from May to October.

Currently, Alicia Hicks is employed at Osmose Utilities Services, Inc., where they started in May 2017 as an Engineering Technician. Alicia has since been promoted to the position of Lead Technician, where they currently hold this role.
