Chris Smith

Chris Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Chris most recently held the position of Director of Business Development at Osmose, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they were a Supervisor at the same company from February 2021 to August 2022. Chris also worked as a Foreman at Osmose from August 2020 to February 2021, and as a Crew Leader from May 2019 to August 2020.

Before working at Osmose, Chris served as the Chairman of the Board at Arcadia/Bienville Parish Chamber of Commerce from April 2018 to May 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Economic Development Director at the Town of Arcadia, Louisiana from October 2014 to April 2019. In this role, they developed and administered a comprehensive economic development strategy for the town, conducted personal visits to businesses, and addressed business climate concerns.

Chris also has experience in the banking sector, where they worked as a Branch Manager at Gibsland Bank & Trust in Arcadia from March 2008 to September 2014. Chris managed various banking services, including checking accounts, savings accounts, and lending.

Earlier in their career, Chris worked at AIG as a Sales representative, focusing on the sale of life and health policies. Chris was responsible for maintaining the customer base and expanding the workplace supplemental insurance program from an unspecified date in 2001 to an unspecified date in 2007.

In addition, Chris has experience in law enforcement as an Investigator for the Louisiana Sheriffs Association. Chris served as an undercover investigator, covering violent crimes and narcotics in Northwest Louisiana.
