Troy Schreifels

Troy Schreifels is the Director of Facilties and Transportation Operations for Osseo Area Schools. Troy has been in this position for 8 years and 11 months, and is responsible for managing transportation, facilities, and risk management departments for the fifth largest school district in the state of Minnesota.

Some of their key accomplishments include designing and negotiating RFP’s for contracted services for school bus contracts and routing software for the transportation department, as well as leading construction management projects worth $32 million in additions at three high schools in the 2015-2016 school year.

Troy has also actively participated on DELT leadership team for the purpose of developing their consciousness around race and the impact our system has on the achievement gap. This team allowed him to develop tools and supports to remove barriers for our student body. In addition, they have participated on school district labor negotiations teams to settle employee contracts on behalf of the school district.

Looking to the future, Troy is committed to utilizing routing optimization methodologies to reduce the need for bus routes cutting over $4 million dollars in the first three years, with the goal of eliminating 28 routes over the next four contract years that will result in the district saving $10 million dollars over the term of the contract.

Troy Schreifels attended St. Cloud State University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, Management and Operations.
