Federico Fernández Dupouy has had a diverse work experience. Federico started their career in 1992 as the owner of Inversiones Ferdup. Federico later became the founder and director of Negociosdigitales.com, a venture capital fund in Venezuela. In 2004, they joined IESA as a professor and later became the Director of Development Gerencial. In 2014, they became a mentor at Ciudad del Saber MIT Venture Mentoring Service. Federico also served as an investor at Wealthing VC Club in 2020. Federico has been involved in the startup ecosystem as a mentor and city co-leader at Founder Institute Spain since 2022. Federico has also served as a mentor and board member at Founder Institute. Additionally, Federico has held the role of Executive Director at IESA - Centro Internacional de Energía y Ambiente since 2022. Federico is currently the Managing Director at Grupo Otepi. Throughout their career, Federico has gained expertise in entrepreneurship, finance, and technology.
Federico Fernández Dupouy obtained a Diploma in Programa Avanzado de Gerencia para la Innovación from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2010. Federico also earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management from IESA between 1990 and 1992. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies and received the degree of INGENIERO INDUSTRIAL in Engineering from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from 1985 to 1990. Federico's secondary education was completed at colegio champagnat, where they obtained their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates in 1985. In addition to their formal education, Federico Fernández Dupouy has obtained certifications including Curso Definición de Retos de Innovación from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2022, IBM Data Science Practitioner - Instructor Certificate from IBM in 2020, and Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in 2020.
