Jordan Scott

Jordan Scott is a software engineer with a diverse range of experience in both research and industry. Jordan is currently employed at OtherLevels, where they work within a small team of software engineers to update and maintain a sports engagement platform. Prior to this, Jordan worked as a researcher Ph.D. student at Griffith University, specializing in machine vision and deep learning for agricultural practices. Jordan implemented and trained machine learning models for real-time detection of seed planting density and gapping, and also developed rugged machine vision systems for field data collection. Before their research role, Jordan worked at Grabba as a software engineer and electronics assembly specialist, integrating new hardware into existing product firmware and extending client API functionality. Jordan also developed an Android application for offline data collection. Jordan's earlier experience includes a role as a graduate electronic engineer at Creative Lighting, where they assembled and inspected lighting control products. Jordan also served as an engineering intern student, developing a software framework for integrating IoT devices with lighting controllers. Jordan began their career as a structural engineering draftsperson at Robert Bird Group and Structerre Consulting Engineers.

Jordan Scott attended Griffith University from 2009 to 2018, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering (Hons) as well as a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
