Lisa Lafleur, PhD has a long and varied work experience. Lisa began their career in 2005 as a Research Assistant in Microfluidic Diagnostic Design and Research Assistant in Automated Water Safety Testing at the University of Washington, Dept. of Bioengineering. In 2011, they became a Technical Project Manager and Senior Fellow at the University of Washington. In 2012, they Co-Founded Shift Labs. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Lead Systems Engineer and Hardware Project Engineer at EKOS Corporation, a BTG International group company. In 2019, they continued their role as Lead Systems Engineer at Boston Scientific after EKOS was acquired. In 2020, they were an Engineer at Global Health Labs as a Contractor. Most recently, they have been a Sr. VP, Research at OtoNexus Medical Technologies since 2021.

Lisa Lafleur, PhD obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Tufts University between 1998 and 2002. Lisa then went on to the University of Washington where they obtained a Master's and PhD in Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering and Nanotechnology between 2004 and 2010.
