Diego Torres

Diego Torres is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in quantitative research and analysis. Currently serving as VP and Senior Analyst of Implementation Research at Acadian Asset Management since December 2020, Diego focuses on enhancing trading performance for core equity strategies, applying advanced statistical methodologies and causal inference techniques. Prior to this role, Diego worked as an Analyst on the Asia desk at Weiss Asset Management, where proprietary value-based and quantitative strategies were implemented. Diego’s experience also includes instructing at the Cardinal Fund at Stanford University, conducting summer research at Banco de México, and serving as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. Diego holds both a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
