Gerard Honig

Gerard Honig serves as the Associate Director of Biomarker Research at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.), overseeing biomarker strategies for nephrology and immunology drug development. Previously, Gerard held significant roles at the Peggy Lillis Foundation as Board Director and Scientific Advisor, and at Celsius Therapeutics as Director, where strategies for inflammatory bowel disease therapeutics and biomarkers were developed. Extensive experience includes leadership positions at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation managing research and development initiatives, as well as serving as Chief Executive Officer at Symbiotic Health, Inc., focusing on microbiome-based technologies. Gerard's academic credentials include a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco, complemented by a BA in Biology from Columbia University and a Baccalauréat from Lycée Français de New York.
