Melanie Campbell-Priddle is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public relations and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as Coordinator, Staff and Community Liaison at the City of Ottawa since May 2008, Melanie has been the speechwriter for Mayor Jim Watson since 2011, collaborating with various stakeholders to produce impactful content. Previously, Melanie held the position of Media Manager at Skate Canada from September 2002 to April 2008, acting as the primary media contact for the national team and major events, including the 2006 World Figure Skating Championships. Additionally, Melanie served as Marketing Communications Coordinator at Skate Canada, where responsibilities included writing and editing the organization's membership magazine. Early career experience includes a role as Communications Officer at PWGSC, where communications plans and materials were developed. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Journalism with a minor in Law from Carleton University, achieved between 1998 and 2002.
