Mike Bureau

Mike Bureau is an experienced Economic Development Officer with the City of Ottawa since December 2010, specializing in economic programs, policies, and strategies. In addition to this role, Mike serves as a part-time Volunteer Firefighter with Ottawa Fire Services and is active on the Rural Fire Advisory Committee and Urban Search and Rescue team. Contributions to Elections Ottawa include various supervisory and officer roles from 2018 to 2022. Mike has also held positions in project management, research support, and administrative assistance within the Public Works & Environmental Services Department, showcasing a strong background in providing comprehensive support to municipal operations. Currently, Mike serves as the Treasurer of the Civic Institute of Professional Personnel's Board of Directors and has previously worked as an English Teacher at JES Island Private School. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Brock University and has completed Basic Fire Suppression training.
