Nicola Powadiuk

Nicola Powadiuk is an experienced education professional currently serving as Vice Principal at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) since August 2016, and previously held roles as a Teacher and PQP Part 1 Leadership Inquiry Practicum. Additionally, Nicola holds the position of Director of Exhibitions at Canderel Group since October 2017, where collaboration with world-class museums and galleries for pop-up exhibits at Canderel properties across Canada takes place. Nicola has also been an elected Board Member for the Ontario College of Teachers’ 8th Council since April 2018. Previous teaching roles include homeroom teacher positions at Elmwood School and the OCDSB, as well as at Peel District School Board. Early career experience includes roles such as Art Museum & Gallery Assistant at Museum London and Collection Researcher & Curatorial Assistant at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. Nicola completed a Masters of Education at the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Education at Western University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History in Art at the University of Victoria. Further professional development was acquired through the Ontario Principal Council.
