Leah Labib is a Technology Transfer Officer at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since January 2018, focusing on advancing technologies from conception to market across various fields, including advanced chemistry and software. Leah has also been a self-employed yoga teacher since August 2014, blending a background in science and biomedical engineering with yoga practice. Previous experience includes working as an associate at Clancy P.C. + Brion Raffoul, gaining expertise in Intellectual Property, and roles at the Medical Devices Innovation Institute, where Leah coordinated significant community events, and at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, contributing to DNA sequencing development. Leah holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa, along with international experience from a student exchange at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
