Lilia Antonova

Departmental Research Associate, Department Of Otolaryngology-head And Neck Surgery at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute

Lilia Antonova has extensive work experience in research and academia. Lilia is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa since 2022. Prior to that, they held roles at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, including Departmental Research Associate in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery starting in October 2021 and Divisional Research Associate from September 2015 to October 2021. Lilia also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute from 2008 to 2012. In addition, Lilia Antonova took on leadership positions, serving as the President of the Ottawa University Faculty of Medicine Postdoctoral Association in 2010 and as the Ottawa University Representative for the Canadian Association of Postdoctoral Scholars from 2010 to 2011. Lilia also served as the VP External for the Ottawa University Postdoctoral Association from 2009 to 2011.

Lilia Antonova completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Concordia University, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Lilia then pursued their Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Cancer Research at Queen's University from 2002 to 2008.
