Maryam Echaibi

Undergraduate Student Researcher at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute

Maryam Echaibi is currently a community advisor and student mentor at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Science since August 2020, where responsibilities include assisting students with course material and assignments as a teacher assistant for BIO1540. Additionally, since May 2021, Maryam has served as an undergraduate student researcher at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, contributing to ovarian cancer research under Dr. Barbara Vanderhyden. Prior experience includes working as a customer service cashier at A&W Food Services of Canada Inc. from April 2019 to June 2022. Maryam is pursuing a Master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa, following a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Computer Science.
