Sukhbir (Sony) Singh is a highly accomplished medical professional currently serving as the Head of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Newborn Care and as a Staff Physician at The Ottawa Hospital since 2007. Singh also holds the position of Vice Chair in Gynecology and has been the Medical Director of The Women's Health Centre at the Riverside Campus, focusing on academic and clinical care. Since 2013, Singh has been the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery and a Professor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. Additionally, Singh serves as an Associate Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and holds the Dr. E. Jolly Research Chair in Gynecologic Surgery. Singh's educational background includes an MD from Western University, fellowships in Minimally Invasive Gynecology from the University of Sydney and the University of Toronto, and extensive training in obstetrics and gynecology.
