Stephen Phung

Stephen Phung has a strong background in product design and has worked for various companies throughout their career. Stephen is currently a Senior Product Designer at Otter.ai, where they began in September 2022. Prior to this, they held the same role at Shogun from January 2021 to August 2022, where they played a key role in shaping future product experiences.

Before Shogun, Stephen worked at MetaLab, starting as a Product Designer in February 2016 and eventually becoming a Principal Designer from November 2018 to January 2021. During their time at MetaLab, they collaborated with enterprise and startup clients to design web and mobile products, focusing on creating accessible, cohesive, and visually appealing user experiences.

Earlier in their career, Stephen worked at Clio - Legal Practice Management Software, where they were a Senior Visual Designer from October 2013 to February 2016, and a UI Designer from July 2012 to October 2013. Stephen also worked at FCV Technologies as an Interactive Designer/Front-end Developer from May 2008 to March 2012, with a brief internship as a Designer Intern in March and April 2008.

Stephen Phung has a diverse education history. In 2000, they graduated from Argyle Secondary School with a Diploma. Stephen then went on to attend Capilano University from 2004 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Stephen then enrolled in Capilano University's Interactive Design Program from 2006 to 2008, earning a Diploma. In 2015, they attended RED Academy, where they obtained a Certificate in UX Designer Foundation.
