Steve Butman

Steve Butman has held a number of technology-focused roles over the past two decades. In 1996, they began their career as a Manager at Deloitte. In 2000, they moved to Mobilocity as the CTO and VP of Solutions Delivery, where they established technology direction and developed organizational structure and mission. In 2001, they became the Owner of Technology Crossing and acted as an interim CTO or key advisor to a number of diverse organizations. In 2007, they joined the Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry as the Chief Technology Officer, where they led information technology operations at a multi-billion dollar firm. Most recently, in 2018, they became the CEO of OtterTax, which provides an easy-to-use API for managing tax statements.

Steve Butman obtained their MBA in Finance from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business between 1988 and 1989. Prior to that, they obtained their BA in Government from the University of Notre Dame between 1983 and 1987.
