Ian Blankenship has a diverse background in maritime operations, currently serving as a 2nd Mate at Otto Candies, LLC since November 2022, following a role as 3rd Mate. Prior experience includes working as an Assistant Operations Manager at Gateway Terminals LLC and serving as a Deck Cadet with both Keystone Shipping Co. and Military Sealift Command. Ian's early career also includes an internship with CADDO-BOSSIER PARISHES PORT COMMISSION and a cadet position with Crowley, where valuable experience was gained during Sea Year Part 1 on the M/V Yorktown Express. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Logistics and Security from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, complemented by a High School Diploma from Telfair County High School.
