Michael Shoup

Michael Shoup has extensive work experience in the maritime industry, particularly in engineering roles. Michael is currently the Chief Engineer at Otto Candies, LLC, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to that, they served as Chief Engineer at Smith Maritime Ocean Towing & Salvage Services starting from June 2018. Before entering the towing and salvage sector, they worked as the Chief Ships Engineer at the University of Miami, starting from July 2009. Additionally, Michael has experience in a leadership role as President of Amcan Longliners Inc. from May 1991 to December 2006.

Michael Shoup completed their education in a chronological order. From 2007 to 2009, they attended Indian River State College, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Information Technology. More recently, from 2017 to 2022, they pursued their education at Marine Professional Training, focusing on Engineering. As a result, they obtained a Merchant Mariner Document in Engineering from the said institution.
