Heidi Fagerholm

Heidi Fagerholm currently serves as President and CEO at Oulu University of Applied Sciences since October 2020 and is a board member of the Excellence Advisory Board at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. With extensive experience in research and development, Heidi held roles such as Senior Vice President and Head of Early Research and Business Development at Merck KGaA from November 2017 to July 2020, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of R&D and Technology at Kemira Oyj from November 2010 to October 2017, and various leadership positions at TEKES and Ahlstrom Building & Energy. Heidi has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Åbo Akademi University, completed in 1994.
