Niko Männikkö

Niko Männikkö is a Lead Researcher and Team Leader at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, focusing on Business Development since March 2023. Männikkö has extensive experience in research and education, having served as Head of RDI at the School of Health and Social Care from April 2020 to February 2023 and as Project Coordinator from 2006 to March 2020. Responsibilities included project planning, coordination, and financial management for various funding initiatives such as ESF, ERDF, and Horizon2020. Männikkö has also been a lecturer in exercise physiology and health-related courses and held the role of Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, examining the health effects of screen media activities. With a strong educational background, Niko Männikkö holds a Doctoral degree in Health Sciences and a Master's degree in Sport Medicine, alongside a title of docent in Nursing Science with a focus on digital wellbeing.
