Dr Nyala Balogun

Programme Operations Manager at Our Future Health

Dr Nyala Balogun began their work experience as a Clinical Research Nurse at Quintiles in August 2003. Dr Nyala then moved to UCL in August 2004, where they initially served as a Senior Research Nurse for a large clinical trial focused on identifying biomarkers of ovarian cancer. Dr Nyala continued to work part-time at UCL while pursuing their PhD from January 2010 to October 2018. From March 2019 to June 2022, Dr Balogun worked as an Academic Research Nurse at UCL. Currently, they are employed as a Programme Operations Manager at Our Future Health UK since June 2022.

Dr Nyala Balogun has an extensive education history, beginning with obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Zimbabwe. Afterward, they pursued a Higher National Diploma in General Nursing from the University of West London. Following this, Dr Balogun completed an MSc degree in Human Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Aberdeen.

Continuing their educational journey, Dr Balogun enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at UCL, specializing in Cancer and Nutrition. This program spanned from 2009 to 2018. During their education, they also obtained certification as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) from the Royal College of Nursing in April 2002.
