Awad Syed

Awad Syed is a highly experienced engineering professional with a focus on battery management systems and power electronics in energy storage applications. Currently serving as the Director of System Engineering at Our Next Energy since April 2022, Awad leads the development of scalable systems for energy storage. Prior experience includes a significant role as Engineering Manager at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where Awad directed the development of battery management systems for next-generation electric vehicle platforms and managed partnerships with Tier 1 suppliers. Earlier positions include Senior System Software Engineer and Software Applications Engineer, where Awad contributed to high voltage battery control software for electric vehicles. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Osmania University.
