Omar Claxton

Omar Claxton possesses extensive experience in technology management and support within educational and business environments. Currently serving as the Director of Technology at Our World Neighborhood Charter Schools since December 2020, Omar focuses on developing entry-level technology staff and managing projects in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer. Previous roles include Technology Manager and Systems Integration Manager, where responsibilities encompassed creating technology plans, upgrading systems, and managing IT infrastructure. Omar has also held positions at Hyde Leadership Charter School as a Technical Support Associate, leading a team to maintain IT services for a large user base, and consulting on technical projects at various companies. Omar holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Networks and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from New York University.
