Fergus Menzies

Fergus Menzies is a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer at Ouster since January 2023. Prior to this role, Fergus served as a Senior Firmware Engineer at Leonardo from July 2018 to December 2022, where responsibilities included developing algorithms for airborne laser systems, designing communication protocols, managing system integration, and supervising students. Fergus began at Leonardo as a Graduate Digital Hardware Engineer and has experience as a MEng Placement Student, designing an FPGA-based image processing system, and a Summer Placement Student, where an implementation of a CSI-2 receiver for Xilinx FPGA was performed. Fergus holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, completed in 2018.
