Eirion Slade is Clinical Informatics Lead at Outcomes Based Healthcare. He is a surgeon by training with a background in mathematics and computing.
After completing his masters degree in quantum information processing at Keble College, Oxford in 2013, he studied medicine on an accelerated course at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, where he taught evidence-based medicine. After qualifying as a medical doctor in 2017, he moved to London to train as a surgeon, and has gained over five years of experience working on the front line of the NHS. Before working at OBH, Eirion was a specialist registrar in trauma and orthopaedic surgery on the Percivall Pott rotation.
Eirion has extensive experience in research, education, and quality improvement. His research in quantum information processing, evidence-based medicine, and orthopaedic surgery has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications and international presentations. He founded the National Surgical and Anaesthetic Audit forum and is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
