Erica Schopmeyer

Erica Schopmeyer serves as the Chief of Operations & Revenue at Outlier Media, a Detroit-based service journalism organization focused on empowering residents to hold officials accountable. With experience as a Development Consultant at Planet Detroit News, Erica sought funding opportunities and collaborated on audience development strategies for an environmental reporting startup. Prior to that, Erica was the Development Manager at Issue Media Group, where responsibilities included seeking business opportunities, securing grants, and managing project deliverables across various publications. Erica holds a Master of Arts in Employment and Labor Relations from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University.
