Travis Rothe

Travis Rothe has extensive experience in the design and communications industry. Travis began their career in 2007 as the Creative Director for Alpha Women Media, Inc., where they were responsible for all branding, communications, publicity and web graphic designs. In 2008, they worked as an Intern and Freelance Designer for Flair Communications Agency, and as an Art Director for Performance Direct LLC. From 2010 to 2013, Rothe served as a Senior Art Director for CrossPoint Communications. Travis then worked as the Creative Director for Human Capital Media from 2013 to 2014, where they art directed and created digital and print advertisements, email newsletter graphics, events marketing, and web graphics. From 2014 to 2021, Rothe held multiple roles at the Illinois Institute of Technology, including Marketing + Communications Senior Designer, Adjunct Professor, Director of Design Communications College of Architecture, and Senior Designer for the College of Architecture. Travis also established and maintained the College of Architecture's internal server of media. In 2017, they began working as a Visual Arts Faculty for The Chicago High School for the Arts. Rothe currently works as a Designer for Outlier.org.

Travis Rothe earned a Master of Design Methods from the Institute of Design (ID) in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a BFA in Visual Communications from The Art Institutes between 2005 and 2008, with a focus in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, and Design Theirtory. Rothe also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Graphic Design and French from Northern Kentucky University.
