Laila, who joined the Outlook Care Board in August 2021, is a visionary and pro-active leader, with exceptional strategic and operational business change credentials combined with solid commercial and financial acumen.
She is a professionally qualified Risk Management Practitioner with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a strong background of adding value and operating effectively at board level. She also holds a Diploma in Marketing.
Laila is a persuasive communicator who is used to engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and has the personal gravitas, expertise and collaborative approach to act as a credible and effective influencer and advisor who can build strong and impactful professional relationships at every level within large and complex organisations.
She has long experience of deploying her expertise as a board member and company secretary to establish structured governance and management control procedures designed to mitigate risk and to comply with constitutional, legal and regulatory requirements.
Laila has built her successful career as a Board Member across private, public and not-for-profit organisations based on her passion for driving positive change and adding value.
She was a Trustee for the Nortel Pension Fund (£1.5 Billion) and a Non-Executive Director for Essex Ambulance NHS Trust. Currently, Laila is the Chair for Safer Places (A charity that supports victims of domestic abuse) and a Non-Executive Director for an NHS Organisation.
Laila was officially appointed in November 2021 at the AGM, and is looking forward to meeting all the staff in the near future.
