Kristel Welander

Kristel Welander is an accomplished HR leader with extensive experience in various strategic roles within global organizations. Currently serving as VP HR BA Ferrochrome & Technology and VP HR Strategy at Outokumpu since April 2022, Kristel defines group-wide HR frameworks encompassing talent acquisition, management, and technology. Previous roles include VP Performance, Rewards and HR Technology at Kalmar, and Senior Manager, HR Development at Outokumpu, where Kristel led performance and reward processes across 30 countries. Kristel's career began at Accountor Group, where responsibilities included developing reward practices and HR analytics internationally. Kristel's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Business and Administration from KEDGE Business School and a BA program in Economics as an exchange student at Western Washington University.
