Alan Gomez-Espinoza

Alan Gomez-Espinoza is currently a Caregiver at Outreach Health Services, where they provide companionship and personal care to a nonverbal autistic patient. Additionally, they work as an Undergraduate Lab Mentor at The University of Texas at Austin, guiding new students in lab equipment use and protocols. As an Undergraduate Researcher, Alan researches the Arabidopsis thaliana 5PTase4 gene in TTG2-dependent epidermal cell fate pathways and has presented their findings at the Undergraduate Research Forum. They have experience in various laboratory techniques and have received a stipend for their research work. Alan is pursuing a Bachelor's of Science and Arts in Biology/Biological Sciences at UT Austin.
